A landmark attraction of Brixham is the Golden Hind replica. It’s a popular recreation of Sir Frances Drake’s flagship where you can experience five decks of Tudor history and adventure. Just watch out for those pirates!
The Tourist Information Office at Brixham Harbour is located in Ula gift shop. They will be delighted to show you how to explore the area by public transport, boat, train and on foot.
Dartmouth
Holidays in South Devon have to include a day out in Dartmouth! The famous naval town is situated on the mouth of the River Dart and is one of South Devon’s most enchanting destinations. The beauty of the landscape, the historical buildings and exceptional local produce all make Dartmouth a perfect place to explore.
Dartmouth is full of history and no trip would be complete without visiting Dartmouth Castle or Agatha Christie’s holiday home. The River Dart is ideal for water sports with sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding and lots of boat trips on offer.

Why not leave the car behind? You can catch the No.18 bus from just outside our holiday cottages into Brixham. It also heads to Kingswear, with the ferry over to Dartmouth.
Enjoy fishing? Check out the booking facilities at both Dartmouth and Brixham, where you will find a wealth of opportunities for a range of fishing trips. Crabbing is a must too and all the equipment you’ll need is readily available.
